Question

Partly because I have turned Marisol/Isabel into a historical doll and a current stand in for Josie and partly because I think the side part on curly hair doesnt look good; I was wondering if there was anyway you could just adjust the wig to look like a center part.

Obviously you would still have to take it off. But could you then just shift it so its a center part? For anyone who has fooled around with wigs, please dont laugh at my ignorance-even though I am laughing as I write this-I was just curious. I really doubt that it can be done

ETA: I think its not so much the side part of curly hair that bothers me, its the skinnier Josie face mold. It seems dwarfed by all that hair when it swings across her face. I dont know...maybe Im just odd

I haven't adjiusted an AG wig, but I did reposition the part of Ruthie's Global wig. It used to be centered, but now it's on the side.
With Marisol, if you can get the wig off whole, you may have to do some trimming to even up the hair. It might end up noticibly longer on one side. Other than that, I think it could work well. I'd love to see pictures if you decide to do it.

Sorry I can not help you with the part issue. I have rewigged many dolls, but in most of the cases, I left the wigs as they were.

However, I know what you mean about Mari's big mane compared to her face. If that bothers you, you may want to "tame it" by doing what we did to DDs Mari: we have had two hairdos on her all the time: one is the ponytail veil (5 tiny ponys at the crown that take up may be 10% of her hair, and then you merge them into 4, and then 3, and then 2 and then tie them into one final piece) or a couple thin braids at the crown to "eat up" part of the volume.

I will see if I can get some pics. Please, PM me if you would like them.

Good luck!
